So long time no update. Real life sometimes takes a hold and for various family reasons my hobby time had been cut to nothing. However in the last couple of weeks I've managed to get a few hours here and there for painting. The new astra militarum codex has gripped me and I am looking at a small platoon for my grey knights as allies ( or maybe the other way round?)
Anyway, here you go.

ReplyDeleteAll I can say is that I really like that colour scheme. While black armour is done to death, the red-brown cloth looks great, especially on the basic trooper where there's an almost equal amount of armour and cloth.
Looking forward to seeing more! :)
Knowing you're a space wolves player, how do you feel the scions kit would fare for wolf scouts (perhaps mixed with the space marine scout kit, and wolfed up appropriately)?
ReplyDeleteThanks for comments here guys. To be honest the scion kit was a slight letdown. technically the kit is outstanding but the designs just don't quite pop for me. One is way too millitary. i really don't think a beret should be anywhere near 40k. Like wise the mechanical heads just aren't quite there in terms of their design. The armour is also a little fussy, almost like traitor guard. So overall a bit many bits and pieces of everything.
ReplyDeleteIn terms of using them for wolf scouts I think they may be a bit too millitary. The legs would work and maybe the arms. Worth a try I guess, not something I have seen before.
